Join the Trust
Tarbolton Community Development Trust is free to join. Live in the village and you get a vote.
Join for freeMembers have the say
Members who live in Tarbolton and are 16 or over vote at our general meetings, including the AGM.
Can’t make a meeting? Appoint another member to vote for you by proxy.
Run by the village
Gala Day, Fireworks Night and Light Up Tarbolton are run by local volunteers. Membership is how the village tells the Trust what to do next.
Ways to join
Every kind of membership is free.
Before you join
- Membership is free.
- The form asks for your name, date of birth, address, email and mobile.
- Members update their details with a code sent by text.
Who gets a vote?
Standard members: people aged 16 or over whose home postcode is in the Trust’s area. You can vote in person at a general meeting or appoint another member as your proxy.
Why do you ask for my date of birth?
It tells us whether you join as a junior or a standard member. Junior members move up to standard membership when they turn 16.
I live just outside Tarbolton. Can I join?
Yes. You’ll be an associate member. You can take part, volunteer and hear our news, but voting is for members who live in the area.
Can a business or club join?
Yes, for free. Use the business form. Business members support the Trust’s work but do not vote.
How do I change my details?
Open Member account, enter the mobile number on your membership and we’ll text you a code to sign in.
